Make sure to shave and exfoliate thoroughly 24hrs before your appointment. On the day of, please be free of any moisturizer and deodorant. Have a dark and loose fitting outfit to change into after we are done.
We recommend waiting 12 hours before your initial shower for traditional tans, 2-4 hrs for rapid.
Avoid water, heat and exercise until after your first rinse.
The entire process takes about 15-20 minutes, from start to finish.
The typical spray tan will last 7-10 days with proper care and upkeep. It is important to follow the steps listed below under the Tan Care section to get the best quality tan possible.
Tan Care
Waxing and/or shaving should be done 24 hours before your appointment to allow pores to fully close.
The day of your tan, your skin should be freshly cleaned and exfoliated. It should also be free of ANY lotions, makeup and deodorant as these products will act as a barrier and result in an uneven or blotchy tan.
Be sure to schedule your session after planned workouts or beauty appointments. Have dark, loose fitting clothing accessible to wear after your session.
Avoid water, heat and exercise while the solution is developing.
For a traditional tan, let the solution develop for 8hrs or overnight and shower as usual in the morning.
For rapid tan, wait anywhere between 2-4 hours depending on desired darkness then rinse with lukewarm water for 30 seconds or until the water runs clear. Avoid soaps and washcloths until the following day.
*NOTE* When rinsing a rapid solution, it may appear as though your tan went down the drain. This is just the bronzer. The tan will continue to develop over the next 10-12 hours. No need to be alarmed.
The best way to maintain your tan is to moisturize day and night! Try to avoid self tanning lotions as the chemicals could mess with the tans dha and result in an orange tone. Only specific tan extenders are safe to mix. Im hear to answer any questions regarding products.
When showering, avoid loofahs and exfoliation gloves. Do not use harsh soaps or body washes that contain a lot of oil, like Dove.
Do not spend long periods of time in chlorinated pools or hot tubs.
